Seiryo's Cultural Festival

Since the Cultural festival is open to the public, I invited a couple of people to come. Both Amanda and Alex came to spend the day at school. Alex is the new ALT at Isahaya Shogyo, just arrived from California a couple of weeks ago.

The theme of this year's Cultural Festival: Superbly Radiant...(for some unknown reason, the 'u' got dropped..)

Another was something called "Muscle Switch". It was something straight out of the game "the Incredible Machine".

The tea ceremony club put on a demonstration around lunch time.

The brass band, having won 1st place in the Nagasaki city competition, put on a performance at the end of the day.

This is Rieko Haraguchi, best female kendo player in all of Japan. 2 weeks ago, she made it to the all japan game, and came in first!

After the Cultural Festival, we headed to Joyfull for dinner then went to the bowling alley where we met a bunch of other ALTs.
