Iojima with Amanda and Sheila
Amanda came over this morning. While Sheila prepared brunch with Amanda's help, I finished making reservations for our birthday tickets to Tokyo.
There are special birthday discount tickets that are available if made at least one month in advance. Since both Sheila and I have our birthday only one day apart, we decided we'd celebrate them together. Reservations were made and we stopped by the post office on our way downtown to pay for our tickets. It's all set now, we will be spending our birthdays together in Tokyo!! :)
After having brunch, we drove downtown to take the ferry over to Iojima island. We had some time to kill before the next ferry, so wandered over to the ice cream place by the port.
We spent the day in the water, Sheila learning to dive, we met some friendly people.
We also ran into some of the university students (Aino and Ayumi) that I had met at the English camp last weekend!

Iojima has a beautiful onsen. The outside part of it, overlooks the water, you can see the boats going by.
Aino and Ayumi are staying on the island for a 3-day badminton camp. They came to see us off when we left in the evening.
By the time we got back to the Nagasaki port, we were all starving..so we stopped to have dinner at the italian restaurant Capricosia in Amu before heading back home.
We still have a lot of packing to do and it's quite late. Sheila and I will be leaving bright and early tomorrow for Yamaguchi ken for a Baha'i summer school camp.
